Individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities deserve every opportunity to live life to the fullest. UCP strives to make that happen. The national office, located in Washington, DC, provides many opportunities for its 65 affiliates that include, but are not limited to, networking opportunities with similar national disability organizations , legislative advocacy (through the partnership with ANCOR), and national brand protection.
UCP’s national office also serves people with disabilities and others through the Bellows Fund which provides grants to individuals and families in need of financial assistance to purchase or repair assistive technology devices. The grants are distributed via local affiliates through annual funding allocated by UCP.
UCP offers many ways to make your investment as easy and efficient as possible.
Consider a gift to celebrate those special moments – birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and graduations – or make a gift in memory of a loved one. When you make a memorial/honor gift, we will send a handwritten card to the persons you want us to notify, informing them of this special tribute (the amount of the gift is not mentioned).
Circle of Promise
UCP is fortunate to have a group of special donors called our Circle of Promise. These donors agree to give a minimum of $1,000 a year – just $3 a day – to ensure that people with disabilities can truly lead a life without limits.
Individuals who make a one-time gift of $1,000 or more or make gifts totaling $1,000 or more in a 12 month period automatically become members of the Circle of Promise.
Every day, people and families turn to UCP and our 66 affiliates to help them through the daily hurdles that come with living with a disability themselves or a disability of a loved one. We provide access to a community, giving them a collective voice and help through peers. And, together, we help give them access the on-the-ground services needed by these families. This work is only possible because people like you who believe everyone deserves a life without limits.
Circle of Promise donors receive:
- – Monthly electronic newsletter
- – Invitation to participate in periodic Insiders’ Roundtable Calls
- – Invitation to exclusive UCP National events
- – Circle of Promise Certificate & Pin
- A personal contact who can answer your questions throughout the year
