United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) is proud to announce the awarding of $58,800 in advocacy grants to support the advocacy efforts of 20 UCP Affiliates nationwide. These grants serve as a testament to UCP’s unwavering commitment to advancing public policy initiatives that amplify the voices of individuals with cerebral palsy and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
This year, UCP’s ability to support affiliate advocacy programs was bolstered by the generosity of Opportunity Village, a dedicated organization committed to empowering people with disabilities. Through their $6,000 contribution to the grant fund, UCP was able to extend funding to additional applicants, ensuring that even more affiliates could launch and expand impactful advocacy initiatives within their communities.

“We are deeply grateful for the dedication and passion our affiliates bring to the fight for disability rights and inclusion,” said Armando Contreras, president and CEO of United Cerebral Palsy. “We are especially thankful for the generosity of Opportunity Village, whose partnership enabled us to go even further in supporting these essential advocacy efforts.”
From advancing state and federal policy initiatives to strengthening grassroots advocacy, these grants will empower UCP affiliates to drive meaningful change, champion accessibility, and create a more inclusive society for all. This collaborative effort highlights the power of partnership in advancing our mission and ensuring that people with disabilities have a strong and unified voice in shaping policies that impact their lives.
As we celebrate this milestone, UCP remains committed to investing in advocacy, growing our network of changemakers, and working alongside like-minded organizations to push forward the policies and programs that empower people with disabilities to live independent and fulfilling lives.
