Roger Slingerman, Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy Central California (UCPCC) brings with him over 30 years’ experience in working with people with disabilities through various capacities throughout Central California, Kentucky, and Connecticut.

Slingerman, a graduate of Old Dominion University (ODU), served four years as ODU’s assistant director of Recreational Sports, before spending the next 12 years working for Special Olympics programs in Kentucky, Connecticut, and Northern California. In 2006, Slingerman crated and became Executive Director of Recreational Sports Club of San Joaquin (RSC) an organization whose mission is to provide sports and leisure opportunities for persons with disabilities while cultivating workplace skill sets, social confidence, increased independence, and full participation in the community for its club members. After more than 200 successful events and over 45,000 participants at RSC, Slingerman joined UCP of Stanislaus and Tuolumne Counties where he most recently served as their executive director. Roger then joined UCP central California in 2016 and ahs acted and is currently the executive director for UCPCC. UCPCC has continually grown to current have 140 employees and nearly an 8.5 million budget.

Slingerman and his wife Monica have two boys, Rynear, 19, and Rory, 16. Slingerman enjoys golf basketball and softball while and watching his sons participate in baseball and golf. Slingerman is an active community member and involved with the Fresno Rotary as well Valley Coalition and ARC/ UCP California and the CVRC Board representative for the vendors. Prior to moving to Fresno, Roger also serving on the Presentation Parish School Board as well as a member of the Lions Club and the Modesto Rotary also served on National committees for Recreational Sports and Special Olympics for their Coaches Education and Unified Sports program. He also represented Team USA as a coach and organizer for four Special Olympics World Games.
