UCP’s knowledge of disability issues has been accruing for more than 60 years. Connecting individuals and families with the resources and services they need helps fulfill UCP’s mission of advancing the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with a spectrum of disabilities.
UCP’s Public Education & Outreach (PEO) efforts include two primary components:

- State Resource Guides (comprehensive listing of resources for every US state and territory)

2. Public Education Campaigns: The heart of UCP’s PEO effort are several public education campaigns, which include the following.
UCP populates this robust tool for parents and caregivers of young children, ages 0-5, with developmental delays or disabilities. The website features Read Speaker, a tool that helps those with reading difficulties, or those on the go, to access the site It is also available in Spanish. My Life Without Limits (MLWL) replaces and expands on the former Brave Kids program as a hub for both young people and adults with disabilities, providing information, resources and an online community discussing topics such as health, housing, employment, relationships and current events.
