Glenn Harger has served United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile as President/CEO for the past 27 years. He first fell in love with the mission of United Cerebral Palsy during his time on the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. In 1989, Harger saw an opportunity to address a great need and took over as the Executive Director for United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile.
Harger combines a wealth of experience as a previous Police Officer in Prichard, Ala, a Staff Officer for the United States Jaycees, Director of the West Alabama Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. His passion for community continues through his involvement with many statewide and national organizations including: A member and past president of Azalea City Kiwanis, past president of Alabama BBQ Association, a member and current chairman of the National UCP Professional Council, chair of the Governor’s Interagency Council for Early Intervention and one of the founding members of the South Alabama Coalition of Nonprofits.
